Hello 2017!
1/15/2017 Welcome to 2017 and the year of the big shift from sticks and bricks to total Rockin' RoVer mode. Having said that, I have no idea about when or even if 2017 really is the year. It is the year we are planning on it all happening. It is the year we are shooting for. It is the year on our vision board. It is the year we will be downsizing and putting our S&B home up for sale. It is the year we will be moving into our fifth wheel, if we can sell our house. It is the year we plan to buy a tow vehicle so we can move our fifth wheel if we can sell our house. It is the year we will take our first big trip, if we can sell our house. All that said, there are about a billion other things that could send this train off on a siding before it happens, but it does no good to worry about what I can not control, so we will focus on what we can control.
We will be getting the painters here in January to touch up. We will be getting the carpet people here in February to replace the old carpet. We will be trying to give our children much of the "stuff" we dont want to sell, donate, or trash. We will be renting a storage building in February so we can move things we will keep ( permanently or till a garage sale (first GS in March?)) out of the house so we can stage the house for showing. We plan to list the house in March with MLS ourselves and hope a broker/agent will want to sell it for us. We plan to sell the house by May or June. Maybe July. Possible August. See what I mean?
I really have stopped worrying about if this is the right thing to do. I have met too many people who after it is too late wish they had done this or something like this. Something so far away from the life they led that no one at first believes they really will. I do not want to look back a many have and wonder what if. This is the thing to do. It will be an adventure, It will be a challenge. It will be a test. It will be a full time job. It will be at times painful, but when we come to the end of "it" I won't wonder or regret having taken the chance.
